Con el propósito de fortalecer los conocimientos y habilidades del personal de la Policía Penitenciaria, 45 agentes de esta corporación fueron capacitados de julio a agosto en cursos de formación continua por parte de la Universidad de Seguridad Pública del estado de Sonora.

El director de la Academia Estatal de Seguridad Pública, Antonio Campos Navarrete, informó que dichas capacitaciones forman parte del Programa de Profesionalización programado de este año, cuyo objetivo es hacer más eficiente el servicio que brinda la policía en el desempeño de sus funciones.

Durante el periodo de capacitación, los agentes fueron preparados en temas como negociación de rehenes, grupos tácticos de reacción e investigación sobre el crimen organizado, en los cuales adquirieron técnicas y tácticas para intervenir y controlar de manera eficiente situaciones de riesgo que pudieran presentarse dentro de los centros penitenciarios.

Los cursos incluyeron tanto materias teóricas como prácticas, en donde los agentes simularon escenarios controlados de toma de rehenes, en donde aplicaron sus conocimientos adquiridos y a su vez, conocieron nuevas técnicas y tácticas para el control de la situación en un momento de crisis.

Finalmente, el director de la Academia Estatal indicó que se mantendrán los trabajos para la profesionalización de los cuerpos policiales, con el compromiso de garantizar instituciones más preparadas al servicio de la sociedad.
